This Privacy Policy explains how Chinese Gender Predictor ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit this website.

Please read this policy carefully. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site. If you are looking for specific details, use the table of contents below.

GDPR rights explainedCCPA disclosuresCOPPA statementAd & analytics transparency

Chinese Gender Predictor is an educational website. We do not provide accounts, on-site user dashboards, or server-side storage for calculator date inputs. Optional analytics and advertising tools are only active when configured, and this policy identifies those states explicitly.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you email us directly or use a contact link on the Site that opens your email app. This may include your name, email address, the subject of your inquiry, and the contents of your message.

Calculator privacy

When you use our calculators, you may enter dates such as a mother's birth date, conception date, or due date. Those inputs are processed in your browser. We do not store or save those calculator dates on our own servers.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, hosting and security providers may automatically receive technical information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, visit timestamps, and device characteristics. If analytics or advertising tools are enabled, those providers may also collect pseudonymous usage or advertising-related signals as described below.

Log data and device information

  • IP address or IP-derived network information
  • Browser and operating system details
  • Referring page or campaign source
  • Pages visited and time spent on those pages
  • Device type, language settings, and screen context

Sources of automatic collection

  • Hosting and content delivery logs
  • Security tooling used by infrastructure providers
  • Google Analytics, if configured and permitted
  • Advertising-related cookies or scripts, if enabled and permitted

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information collected through the Site for the limited purposes listed below. We do not use your information for any unrelated purpose without an appropriate legal basis or your consent where required.

Operate the site

Run pages, calculators, downloads, and contact workflows.

Analyze performance

Understand which content and features are useful, when analytics is enabled.

Support advertising

Deliver or measure advertising when Google AdSense or similar tools are enabled.

Meet legal obligations

Comply with applicable law, enforce terms, and respond to lawful requests.

Protect the service

Detect abuse, secure infrastructure, and investigate technical problems.

Legal basis under GDPR

  • Legitimate interests: security, site maintenance, performance analysis, and improving educational content.
  • Consent: non-essential cookies, advertising storage, and analytics storage where consent is required.
  • Legal obligation: compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests.
  • Contract or pre-contract steps: responding to inquiries you send to us.

We do not use your information for

  • Selling personal information for monetary compensation.
  • Building custom personal marketing profiles outside the scope of configured ad platforms.
  • Automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
  • Purposes materially unrelated to those listed in this policy.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They help websites remember preferences, support secure delivery, and understand usage patterns. The Site is built to support the categories below, but optional categories are only active if corresponding services are configured and, where required, if you consent.

Cookie consent

Where required by law, we ask for consent before enabling non-essential cookies or storage. On this site, the banner defaults optional categories to off. You can revisit those choices at any time if the banner is enabled.

Cookie preference controls are currently inactive because optional analytics or advertising tools are not enabled on this build.

How to manage cookies

  • Use browser settings in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, or your preferred browser.
  • Use provider opt-out tools for Google Analytics and Google Ads.
  • Use privacy or incognito modes for session-limited browsing.
  • Remember that blocking all cookies may reduce site functionality.

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no uniform technical standard for interpreting those signals, we do not rely on DNT alone and instead use the consent and opt-out mechanisms described in this policy.

4. Google AdSense and Advertising

Current status

Google AdSense is not configured on this build. This section explains how advertising would work if enabled later.

Provider information

Provider: Google LLC

Address: 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA

Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Ad Settings: adssettings.google.com

How Google advertising works

If Google AdSense is enabled, Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show relevant ads, limit repeat impressions, measure ad effectiveness, and prevent fraudulent clicks. Depending on region and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

Personalized vs. non-personalized ads

  • Personalized ads are based on ad-related interests and browsing history across contexts.
  • Non-personalized ads are based more heavily on page content and limited contextual signals.
  • Where consent is required, personalized ads should remain off until you opt in.

Our advertising standards

  • Advertising should remain visually distinct from editorial content.
  • Advertising relationships do not change our published research findings.
  • We do not knowingly endorse misleading health claims through editorial content.
  • You can opt out of personalized ads via Google Ad Settings.

5. Google Analytics

Current status

Google Analytics 4 is not configured on this build. This section explains how analytics would operate if enabled later.

What analytics may collect

  • Pages visited and time spent on those pages
  • Traffic source such as search, referral, or direct visit
  • General location at a country or city level
  • Browser, device, and approximate session context
  • Aggregate interactions with tools and content

What analytics should not collect from the site directly

  • Your name or email address unless you independently provide it elsewhere
  • Precise real-time location
  • Calculator date inputs stored by our own application
  • Automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects

IP handling and consent mode

When Google Analytics is enabled, the site is configured to initialize analytics only through a consent-aware path and to request IP anonymization in the client configuration. You can opt out by declining analytics cookies, adjusting your browser settings, or using Google's browser add-on.
